[ic] logo question

why the extra slash? i can't figure it out from the templates, but the logo 
at top left appears in the template as:

&nbsp;<img src="__THEME_LOGO__">

and in the view source as:

   &nbsp;<img src="/images/foundation//logo.gif">


note the two slashes before logo? the image displays in my browser, but not 
sure why there are the //?
