[ic] interpolation of tags in product description

Hello,

    I was editing a product description (aka "comment") and wanted to add a
link to another item from in the comment field.  Is there a way to get page
or area tags to interpolate when the tags are coming from the db?  I can use
a regular href but then I lose the session id if the user doesn't have
cookies.  Not that I am particularly concerned about users trying to use a
cart without cookies, but still...
