The Quick Link pop-up window is too long for my computer screen. This 
wouldn't be a problem necessarily, if only I could see the handle on the scroll 
bar. It isn't there either. It's missing. I closed and re-opened the window 
several times (including refreshing and clearing cache) and the problem 
repeated itself.

All you have to do is edit the "fixed" menu at the top where the quicklinks
link is. Change the height, width, and scrollbar status to your heart's content.

Design->(load Fixed)->(Quicklinks)->{change and publish)

Invalid comment syntax is used many places. Foundation and UI

For example, in foundation/include/checkout/new_browser_payment:

        ^ ext                     ^ extra -

Comments should only have 2 "-" in them.

May seem like a nit, but when I use HTML validators to track down errors
I get lot's of noise from this simple error.  Makes it harder to find the
real errors.

I sould be happy to provide a patch against CVS for all of these.

I am having minor javascript problems here and there.  Some of them
are bad interactions between browsers and invalid <script> tags.

The <script> tags in Interchange 4.9.8 are missing a required attribute:
    type="text/javascript"

Adding this often fixes mysterious errors and can do no harm.  I would be 
happy to provide patches against CVS is this is accepted.

I found a minor bug (at least I think it's a bug) in Vend::Order::add_items 
that was causing me problems with stacking.  It uses perl split with a limit 
of -1 to create the arrays of items, quantities, etc to be stacked.  However, 
in my application, I found that this resulted in empty values at the ends of 
these arrays, causing unpredictable results.  

For example, if @items has more entries than @quantities, an item whose index 
is outside the bounds of @quantites is given a quantity of 1 (logical and 
desired bahavior in my case).  However, if the last entry in @quantites is 
empty (from the -1 split limit) the item with that index is given an empty 
quantity (not 1).  Further down in the code, an item with no quantity is 
omitted, and so that line would not be added to the cart.

Tricky.

I removed the limits of -1 for the splits in add_items, which seemed to have 
solved my problem.

Although I am only exercising @items and @quantities at this time, I decided 
it was best to remove all the -1 limits for consistency, as I did not see a 
good reason to include any empty trailing fields in this application.  Mike 
Heins suggested that the -1 limits were included to avoid warnings in older 
versions of Perl.  You might see fit to resolve it in a different way, or not 
at all.

Done as you suggest, as it doesn't seem to impact Linux (our biggest platform).
This would appear to be a bug in the Solaris ln(1) program, though. I don't
know why it should fail -- I worked on Solaris a long time ago and am virtually
positive it used to work without the trailing slash if the target was a directory.

Known problem/bug with Mozilla's new CSS engine. Putting a file upload
widget on a sufficiently complex form crashes Mozilla later than 1.2.1.

Workaround is not to use a tabbed display if there is an <input type=file ...>
in the table definition.

Reported to mozilla.org and bug confirmed.

Unmarked as critical because there is a workaround and we are not in control of
when the bug is fixed in Mozilla.

We are no longer maintaining 4.8 example pages, so no enhancements will be made.

We have improved the search box in 4.9.x in the "mike" catalog, and will shortly

New product options are only supported for SQL database types, and it looks like
you have only GDBM or some other non-SQL installed.

Possible workaround is in catalog.cfg:

   Database  variants  WRITE_ALWAYS  1

but I won't guarantee it will work. You should convert to MySQL or Postgres.

When entering a weight in a variant item which contains a decimal point, the 
decimal point is removed before the number is saved to the database.  

3.5 pounds becomes 35 pounds.

This was an inadvertant filter setting for the field in metadata.

Go to the variants table and edit the metadata, and remove the "digits"
filter. (You can leave the digits_dot filter, probably.)

Fixed in distribution foundation.

I have been thinking about this one -- I don't believe that it can cause
any problems, but this is some of the most long-standing code in IC. Perhaps
that means it should be revamped.... 8-)

In any case, after reflection I don't believe it can cause a problem to
remove the -1, as the product code is the key field and as long as it
is populated all should be well.
