ZIP is no problem for us Unix guys :-). Your work looks very nice and I will
check it into the CVS soon. However, we should add some hint to 
MV_LANG_NAME that the language is actually Brazilian Portuguese.

Would "Portugues (BR)" be recognized ?

Yes, they're not really tags. They're pseudo-tags that get parsed on pages
only.

Use [loc]...[/loc] in those situations instead. It's not as fast but works

I try to translate the foundationstore into Dutch, but I can't find some
IC-messages.

For example, when you type a wrong user name or password you get the
message:
" Invalid user name or password "

Another one is the search message :
"Sorry, no matches for ...."

I want to translate that messages in Dutch. Who can tell me where I can find
(and translate) that messages ?

I found that the  [loc] doesn't behave like [L]. It doesn't take a key but the
original text to translate.  Shouldn't it behave like the [L] tags?

A sample foundation store with preset tags and  text files to translate will
be a great help.

Documentation is also misleading with regards to setting the ImageDir for a
locale.  PageDir is relative to catroot but imageDir is not
/images/language_dir/ but /catroot/images/language_dir/ and the images must be
in a subdirectory specified by _STYLE_ such as foundation:
/catroot/images/language_dir/foundation/.

Is there a way to get it to only use the es_ES ImageDir *if* the file
actually exists (otherwise fall back to the default ImageDir)?

If not, what is the preferred method of getting that type of
functionality (without manually copying all the images to each locale)?


If you are wondering why this is useful, it is because many images can
be shared between the two sites, and it would be nice to only translated
images in another directory.

I use symlinks for this purpose.

hi, i use interchange 4.8.2 and i have the following prob:

the internationalization doesn't work correctly...

when i use the [L]xxx[/L] tag it's ok but
when i use the [loc]xxx[/loc] tag the xxx is full lost!

this is no prob in normal pages but in the templates i don't know what to do...

is there anyone who had the same prob???
or is there another way to translate in templates (without loc)???

Yes, [msg] is relative new. Probably we fade out support for [loc]
one day. So [msg] is recommended. 

But [loc] should work too. Wilko, can you post an example where
it fails ?
