[interchange-i18n] Passing locale parameters from HTML

Hi:
I am trying to pass a language parameter from HTML when I call the
Interchange application  from an HTML page.   If the page is English I
have to pass language en_CA (actually en_US will do)  and if it is is
French I have to pass fr_CA. Then I have to test the value in the
catalog index page and show the proper menu icons in French or in
English.
