Sound like the Term::Readline CPAN module is missing.
1. Make sure you have CPAN - use 'cpan' or perl -MCPAN -e 'shell'
If this does not work download latest cpan from
modules/by_category/miscellaneous and install it
and I recommend installing Bundle::CPAN using cpan
2. Also install Bundle::Interchange while you are in cpan
That will probably cure the readline interface problem.
Also, DON'T install interchange into the same directory you download the
Download into /downloads/interchange for example and run ./configure from
there and use the parameters you used before.
