[ic] Quantity pricing in IC 4.6.0

Hi Chuck,

I'm in the same boat: I seem to be having difficulty using "price_group".

Quantity pricing and CommonAdjust seem to be one of the more mis-understood
areas of interchange. I, like you, have been going crazy trying to figure
it out. It *partially* works, but I can't seem to make it do *exactly* what
I want.

The situation I have is that I have several groups of products, all of
which get different quantity breaks. For example I have one group of
products which is priced at $10 each, 3 for $20. Another group which is
$1.00 each or 6 for $5.00 and another group which is $6 each or 2 for $10

What I've done is set this up in catalog.cfg:

CommonAdjust pricing:price_group,q2,q3,q6, ;products:us_retail, ;$
AutoModifier pricing:price_group

The problem I have is that the quantity pricing isn't obeying my "groups".
If I add one of the items at $6.00 each, then another of the items which
are $10 each the $6.00 item drops to $5, even though it's in a different
price_group.

Maybe if you can describe what you are trying to do and how you are doing
it we can try and get this figured out together. I really, really, really
need to figure this out....it's the last thing preventing me from going
live with my catalog.

Scott
