[ic] Search Challenge MV 4.04

Greeetings,

Quick question I hope :-).  I am having a problem with a search--the user
selects several options from drop down boxes one of which is toast--the
toast field contains light,heavy,medium or medium plus.

The problem I have is that when the user selects medium they also get medium
plus included in the results--I only want them to get the items with medium.

I have tried mv_exact_match and mv_substring_match to no avail.  The search
is done on a MySQL database.

Can someone please point me in the right direction thanks.
