Here's a starting point - not tested, but my belief is that it will perform 
the substitution on the contents of the mv_searchspec array.  You should 
then see the alteration(s) with the [value-extended tag].

         my $ref = $Values->{mv_searchspec};
         foreach (@$ref) {
