How to Upgrade Re: [ic] Interchange Upgrade Documentation

I am still not clear on how to upgrade from one version of Interchange to 
another.  This gentleman seems to recommend the purchase of the printed 
documentation.  Will that do it?

Is there really step by step upgrade info in the printed documentation that 
is not online as it relates to an 4.6 to 4.8 upgrade.

I know this may sound very simple, but there are several questions I have 
not been able to find answers to online.  I see online documentation 
telling how to upgrade from various versions of MiniVend to other versions 
of MiniVend and that same document includes how to upgrade from MiniVend to 
a version of Interchange.

What I do not see is information about how to upgrade from one (4.6.x) 
version of Interchange to another (4.8.x) version of Interchange.

In previous posts I have been told not to just use the "foundation.rpm" but 
also to use the Interchange rpm. I do not see an "Interchange RPM" on the 
download page.  Is that the "core rpm?"  Other people on the list have told 
me that I should not use RPMs to upgrade.

It would be great if someone had documentation that gave recommendations 
and instructions.  Please forgive me and point me in the right direction if 
the documents are online.
