[ic] UI and Tables

Dan,

damn good name. I believe it is by using no import. I figured the MySQL file
trick out, but when I did it a few days ago my fat fingers misspelled the
file, thus creating a nasty little error that I was not aware of till I went
back in today. Thank you for your help. No I just get an internal server
error if I try to export from MySQL to the txt files...not sure why. I made
sure the ownership and the permissions were correct on each file. I go one
step farther and create the .sql and the txt files in the products database
also. My two cents.

Dan

Dear Dan,

(Good name, by the way).

Here's what I do:

1. Create the table in the database, get all the formats right, test some
SELECTS, etc.
2. Build a CATROOT/db/mysql/<tablename>.mysql file, using the
easy-to-understand format that you can learn by reading the other .mysql
files.
3. Restart IC.

That seems to work for me. But for some reason, I can't get it to work if I
don't create the table ahead of time. Though IC has the purported ability
to create the table as it's defined in the .mysql file if it finds the table
doesn't exist.

My question: How do you stop IC from writing out the database text files in
products/*.txt? Do you use NoImport? (Or NoExport?)
