If ya got your own server have you tried WebMin?

It has a java file manager that kicks ass for editing files and have your
standard Windoze UI look...

just a suggestion for us lazzzy folks

    Just a tidbit - I've been using a Samba share to edit the files and it's
been working fine for me. It's really easy to edit the pages in Windoze with
either wordpad or notepad.
