Also, you must have misread the article that mentioned the [calc].
The correct usage would be [calc]$Variable->{IMAGE_DIR}[/calc], but
that is an overkill.  If you just want use the value of a variable,
and don't need to modify the result in any way you may as well just
stick to __IMAGE_DIR__.
