It worked thanks..just had
to make sure that pending,
confirmed and archive were
proper case.

[tmp mystatus][item-field status][/tmp]

[if scratch mystatus eq confirmed]
 print Confirmed
 [elsif scratch mystatus eq pending]
 print Pending
 [/elsif]
 [else]
 print Archive
 [/else]
