This is not a non-issue if you're relying on cookies to track customers.
Persons using IE6 who set their privacy requirement to "High" will reject
the cookie and will not, therefore, be able to retain any items in their
shopping cart.

IE6 ships with privacy set to Medium, but if you read what they describe for
High, you'd think it sounds reasonable.  At least, it seems like a number of
people have gone to that setting.

You will need to get P3P policies in place.  Specifically, you need to issue
a compact policy that IE6 accepts.  But, of course, you should have the
entire policy worked out so that you are consistent for legal purposes.  It
is not a simple matter.  Search for P3P on Google and the first several
items will be helpful.  The w3.org site has the background material. I found
the IBM (alphaworks) P3P Policy Editor helpful.  There are also
advertisements for policy creation services/software.
