[ic] is the flex editor supposed to show labels everywhere?

I'm using IC 4.9.3 and I'm working with the flex_editor script and
trying to configure a custom table I've added to have a nice display.
In the admin interface, I click it from the list of tables. Then I go
to the "New Entry" link and click on the "meta" links for each column
and assign the type of input (several are combo boxes) along with the
labels. This all works great, and now when I go to "New Entry" the
label is shown instead of the column name, and the combo boxes I
specified show up perfectly.

However, when I go to the regular table edit screen (by clicking on
"Edit" after I've selected the table) or when I go to the spreadsheet
view, the column names are used, and not the labels. Oddly, the combo
boxes and their manually entered choices show up just fine on the
spreadsheet view.

I tried clicking on the table name right next to "Select table for edit"
text on the main edit page for the table, and get a page titled
"Configure Table Display: mytable". I notice there are a lot of options
there for spreadsheet and edit page options. I've messed with all of
them, and I don't seem to be able to change anything.

How do I make it so the label is displayed on the edit page and on the
spreadsheet view of this table like it is on the new entry page? Or is
this not yet implemented, etc.?

Thanks

Justin
