 Since some versions, you have to set a variable
in catalog.cfg, the one that activates MySql support.

 You will easily find it because there is a section that says

if SORT_OF_DATABASE_VARIABLE
  (lines to use that sort of database)

 Also you will probably need to set the user and password values for
accessing the database.
