Did you specify MySql as your database when you ran Makecat?


I pulled this info from my catalog.cfg - I set up MySQL on a separate 
server, so your config may be different.

ifndef SQLDSN
Variable SQLDSN   dbi:mysql:yourtablename:ipaddress:3306
endif

then in your catalog directory:
/dbconf/mysql/mysql.cfg

set these access variables as needed:
Variable  SQLUSER  mysqlaccessusername
Variable  SQLPASS  mysqluserpassword

I can't answer too many questions about this, but it was pretty straight 
forward when I ran makecat.
