[ic] Netscape drops cart and YES I've checked the FAQ

Hi There,

It isn't just Netscape... First off your initial "site address" is NOT an
address, it is a domain.

You are correct in assuming it is the cookies, because clients are not allowed
to read cookies set for other sites, and when you Non-SSL address and SSL
address and NOT exactly the same the cart contents will most likely be dropped.

The simple solution is in the first address, make it a REAL address and not a
domain and if possible use the exact same address as the SSL server.

OR

In the case where the Non-SSL address and SSL address HAVE to be different,
EVERY page that has to do with your cart, including your fly pages MUST be run
through your SSL address. So in other words probably 90% of your site MUST pass
through the SSL address. This way ANY alterations to the user setting and the
cart are done under the SSL address and are not lost. Everything under the
Non-SSL address will be lost, but who cares, there is nothing there we need or
care about.
