When you install from the tar archive, it'll ask you which directory
to install into.  Just choose a different one to wherever you installed
4.6.  Each version of Interchange will look for its own PID file.

You should also change the TCP port number used by the new Interchange
version or start one/both of them in UNIX-only mode.
