I have seen this before when the [comment] tags are removed from the top
of a particular page.

Maybe try putting something like this at the very top of the page:

[comment]
ui_template: yes
ui_template_name: leftonly
[/comment]

I don't know if this will solve your particular problem, but I do know
that if these tags are removed from a page that they will not load in
the Content Window in the UI.
