The layout for scan urls changed.  What was it, scan/ now is supposed
to be scan asdf?  (I THINK).  Look for that in docs.  I'm pretty sure
it was in changelog somewhere.

You are getting 7 because an array is being converted to scalar context.
Add some debugging to the logGlobal function to convert that otherwise
you'll find it hard to trace back.
