I am glad you like the site.  Like I mentioned previously, the look is not
something I can take credit for and I also didn't write Interchange.  What I
can take credit for is selecting Interchange for use on that project when we
were faced with the same decision as you.  I can tell you without any doubt
that Interchange is the way to go.  The same team that worked on the sophee
site also did a number of miva sites and the miva sites generally look like
crap because extensive customization is next to impossible with that
software.  The miva script engine is also very slow.  From a security
perspective, miva runs setuid root, which is generally considered to be not
so great.  Miva just all-around sucks.  Interchange, on the other hand, is
one of the more well-thought-out pieces of software I have worked with.
