You're quite right.  That page had two sections, both labelled "ASP-like
Perl call."  The first description was correct and read "This tag
doesn't work with embedded Perl due to special processing."  The second
section was wrong, as quoted above.  I corrected that error in the
latest version of the docs (in CVS) a couple of hours ago.
