The problem is that it is cheaper for Charles to pay them the $5,000 for the
license than to hire a lawyer to protest it.

Amazon.com, OTOH would have a huge licensing fee (presumably) and would make
the legal fees cheaper than the licese. I'm betting that this outfit is not
going to go after the big guns.
