Maybe I am a masochist but I like the elitism; it inspires me to think
for myself.  However, I do disagree with the particularly discouraging
remarks you are referring to; Mike Heins gets enough work ;P.

What really bothers me, is that for each of the 10 lists I subscribe to,
at least 5 a month are plagued with these silly little self-questioning
threads. Frankly, I think it is polluting the archives; I get enough
drama at home ;P.
