Spent a few hours looking around for an answer and then made some progress
after sending the email!

Anyway, I found how to change the text in the mv_metadata. It looks like you
can select how the item is displayed aswell, but this does not work. Instead
I tried a test and replaced
multiple with checkbox in the "display" tag:
[display table=userdb type=checkbox column=mail_list key="[data session
username]"]

This goes some way to answer my question. However, I would like the
checkboxes displayed one per row, not all in one row as currently displayed.
Any ideas?
