[ic] DBI error...too many connections

Hi all,

I'm getting this error in the log files-

/cgi-bin/sewp/index.html Runtime error: connect failed -- DBI->connect(sewp)
failed: Too many connections at /usr/local/interchange/lib/Vend/Table/DBI.pm
line 446

I suppose it means too many connections to my mysql db or something?  How do
I prevent this in the future?  Had to restart mysql and this fixed the
problem.
