[ic] are size, color item fields used?

I see these in the product table, but they don't appear in the live 
demo. For example, os28064 mechanics wrench lists "standard, metric" in 
the size column. This information doesn't appear anywhere when I select 
the item through the web site.

Have these columns been replaced by the options feature?
