[ic] Interchange and Firebird?

Hi there

Can Interchange use a Firebird Database? If not yet, are there any 
future plans for it to support Firebird?

Reason for me asking I currently use Firebird in many projects of all 
sizes and have found it to be extremely reliable, fast, stable, 
predictable, etc... ...and it is free! It is also supported by php, I'm 
not sure about perl. It also runs on many platforms including Linux, 
Unix, Windows and others.
