Well, in my case I know why :-) 

Our ERP system is an old legacy package called MANMAN running on a VAX 
with the VMS operating system using a database which is structured after 
Codasyl.  So, simply put, it is next to impossible to do, though we are 
investigating some options...  My interest regarding Compiere and IC was 
more for our England facility as it tends to be much less structured...
