[ic] Another Continue Shopping Button question

Did anyone ever get the continue shopping button to return the customer
from the cart page back to their last search result page? If so, I
could sure use those instructions.
I am running 4.8.6 on R.H 7.3

Also, I am using the following code on my results pages, and I am
having a couple of problems, the first is that I sometimes do not get
back rows of 3, instead I get back one item in the top row and two in
the bottom, or vice versa. This only happens on the second resultset
and beyond, not critical but truly annoying. Can anyone recommend a fix
please?
