[ic] Design Error

Hi,

You are running Red Hat 8 correct? I ran into this same problem and beat
my head against it for quite a while. From all that I have found, it
seems to be an issue with Red Hat's perl 5.8.0 and stores that run on
MySQL (I also assume you are running MySQL). If you go into interchange
and turn a high level of logging on, perform the action to get the
error, and stop the store so you have contained output, you can find
exactly where it's crapping out on you. I think it was like DBI::MySQL
or something like that. It's been well over a month since I looked at it
last. I wasn't able to find a fix at the time though :( so I don't know
how much has changed since then. For me it wasn't a big deal cause we
didn't use the design tab for site design
(http://www.vireoproducts.com/). If you need to use the design tab, I
would suggest possibly re-installing perl and maybe that will help.
People have been running IC against perl 5.8+ non-Red Hat without any
problems so that should help. Also, I am not sure if that one module has
been since updated to handle whatever error is stemming from there but
that would be a good place to look as well.

Good Luck!
Brian

Subject: [ic] Design Error

Hi all

I just upgraded to Interchange 4.8.7 . When I hit on the design button I
used to get the following error

11850 read(12, "GET
/cgi-bin/bookstore/admin/layout.html?id=cXmoP8Yz&mv_pc=27
HTTP/1.1\r\nHost:

This used to get the layout.html information from the database. When I
upgraded it could not do this. So I copied the layout.html file found in

Now I get a 500 Error

Server error!
