Be sure that your editor does not wrap the lines in mv_metadata.asc and that
it does not mess with the carriage-returns that are in that file.

I did that change once with pico (with the non-wrap switch) and it still
messed completely my mv_metadata db. I had to build that file from scratch,
and that takes really much time (obviously I forgot to make a backup ;-)...
