I've been trying to get somewhere with Interchange for a week. Seems like
I've spent most of my time just doing installs of Linux and various versions
of Interchange.

I've tried 4.8.7, 4.9.8, and 4.9.9 on Red Hat 7.3, Red Hat 9.0, Suse 9.0,
and even Fedora 0.95, with and without MySQL. I've installed the tarball
and the RPMs. I'm getting nowhere. Each variation presents its own set of
problems.

Some of the errors I've gotten on various attempts have been .

/bin/tar:
/usr/local/interchange/src/authors/id/D/DC/DCONWAY/Parse-RecDescent-1.94.tar
.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
/bin/tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Couldn't untar
/usr/local/interchange/src/authors/id/D/DC/DCONWAY/Parse-RecDescent-1.94.tar
.gz

Bundle summary: The following items in bundle Bundle::Interchange had
installation problems:
  Storable

If I ignore the warnings and errors I can get the demo to run, but running
the demo isn't my goal.

Is there any documentation around that will walk me through setting up my
own store (a retail computer store) either from scratch or by modifying the
foundation demo? I tried the catalog building tutorial, didn't get too far
because missing.html would send me off to a 404 instead of returning my to
pages/index.html as well as other pages sending me off to 404s. I double
and triple checked my typing then ended up just cutting and pasting to be
sure the code was correct and still had the same problems.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Regards
Steve
