I don't know much about ShopSite, but I can tell you that some of
the original ShopSite people developed Tallyman, which was merged
with Minivend to create Interchange. 8-)

I don't think Dave Adams watches this list any more, but Jon Jensen
or Sonny Cook might have some more info (though they didn't work on
ShopSite development.)

My limited understanding is that ShopSite is designed to be easy to
use, and that is its main goal. It is not nearly as extensible as
IC, and it *used* to have big problems with larger databases. I have
converted several ShopSite users to Interchange, ones whose product
table grew over 5000 items. ShopSite could not handle that; but it
has been a long time and I don't know the current state.
