 Thanks Martin,

 It's good to know that you can get things working, and I think I know a
bit about what I am doing wrong now.
 The standard packages are :

ls at debian:~$ dpkg -l interchange*
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err:
uppercase=bad)
||/ Name           Version        Description
+++-==============-==============-============================================
ii interchange 5.0.1-1 e-commerce and general HTTP database
display
ii interchange-ca 5.0.1-1 Foundation Store, a sample Interchange
catal
ii  interchange-do 4.8.3-1        Interchange Documentation
ii interchange-ui 5.0.1-1 Interchange administration interface (UI)

 and I'm running debian testing/unstable

 I have just started to setup and do some work on interchange so I'm a
bit new in the game, however I haven't got my server configured to use
https, and that seems to be the problem.
 Have you got any hints on how to setup apache2 ? I think this is what I
fail. I was off on the wrong track when the connection refused messages
showed up on access to the admin pages, ( particularily since there was
a redirect to the default page if the connection falied .. ).

 My current plan is to create a new store and at the same time a
template in /etc/apache2/sites-available which I then can reuse for
other catalogs.

 Also have you done a recompile of the perl packge ? I have installed a
perl with usethreads disabled for the user, but I would like to not have
to do this for the testing and such , ( deployment is another story ).

 / best regards, Lars Segerlund.
