Mark,

I have a kit that I have used in the past to install interchange 8.7 on
redhat 9.

I understand that your situation is slightly different but I have
upgraded to 4.9.9 since without too many problems.

I have replaced the Perl from the Redhat 9 installation with perl-5.6.1-34.

I have since learnt of other ways of dealing with this, but have had no
need to implement yet.

if you anonymous ftp goldissue.com

you will find all the files. They include 035233.html which was posted
by someone and outlines the procedure that I used for a slighly
different version.

Also included are all the compatible files that you need for an
Interchange-8.7 installation.

I seem to remember some warning regarding the installation of
perl-Digest-MD5-2.16-15.i386.rpm (from memory).

I let nothing phase me and used the --force options and it was successful.

I hope that this is of assistance,

Frank Reitzenstein.
