Huh? What "issues" are there regarding 5.0.0? Many of us have been using 
4.9.x and 5.0.0 with no problems. That's why we decided to make it the new 
stable release. :)

Suspecting is not going to help anyone much ... especially as your 
supposition is incorrect. Interchange does not work with Fedora's stock 
Perl. That's already been discussed in this forum several times. Someday 
there's likely to be distro Perl/IC harmony again, but until then you 
should compile your own nonthreaded Perl in /usr/local.
