[ic] Using IF to check [country-region]???

Hi Folks,

Today I am trying to build an IF based on country region, I have tried this:-

[if value country-region ="Europe-EC"]
do something.....
[/if]

But is doesn't work.

This works which I cribbed from the checkout page but I need to use region 
rather than country.

[if value country =~ /(^$|GB)/]
do something
[/if]
