If you're more familiar with FreeBSD administration, then that should
work too.  It also works on Solaris.  I personally prefer GNU/Linux,
as do most of the Interchange developers, I believe.  You will probably
be "safer" with a modern GNU/Linux distro, where everything is known to
work.
