"£" is always "£". The hash symbol (#) doesn't have an entity
name; It doesn't need one. The "£" named entity is defined as
"£".
I find that named entities, such as "£" and "©" etc. are
easier to read in HTML source than the numbered equivalents. I recognise
that other people will have their own preferences, so just use whatever
you're comfortable with.
