Agreed.  I also had a bad experience with them. 

does anyone have suggestions on who is a good SSL issuer? 

I have used Comodo in the past but in search of a better price I tried
godaddy.com works great and price is good as well.  I am migrating all
my SSL's from Comodo once they expire.
