Hi Josh,

It looks that you are using the default Solaris perl. Did you compile
interchange by running:

 /usr/local/bin/your_freshly_compiled_perl Makefile.PL

I guess that you installed a local perl with gdbm, but it's not in your
path. Running just perl Makefile.PL did in your case trigger the default
perl..
