Mike's advice has much more value of course, but do the Apache error
logs show anything? Sometimes clues can be found there. Any chance that
file ownership or permissions have changed? My catalogs seem to die if
the ~/cgi-bin/catalog files are not:

 rwsr-xr-x  1 interch interch
