This is basically code to fill a client need who found that they were
getting a lot of search engine traffic with affiliate links.  There are
certainly ways of dealing with this in apache, as well as webmaster
tools in the search engines themselves that can solve this, but this
specialsub seemed to be an ideal solution that carries possible other
features for interchange as well.
