I'm experimenting with MV 4, because the va= on scan could solve some problems
for me, but as I'm having problems.

I'm turning to the catalog error.log and there isn't one.

I've tried touching one with the UID of MV and restarting the server, yet
nothing is appearing as in version 3.  I'd rather not pester the list while I'm
playing, but catching the information from the logs helped me a lot when I was
learning 3.  Any suggestions on what may not be right?  I've greped the config
and sources and still at a loss...
