Re: [mv] Perl 5.6.0 broke my Minivend 3.11

****** message to minivend-users from Ed LaFrance <edlafrance@printexusa.com> ******

I would strongly suggest that you back up your existing minivend.cfg and
catalog, then delete the existing minivend installation (mvend dir and all
subdirs) and reinstall minivend: 3.14-5, or 4.04, your choice (though there
may be some upgrade related issues since you catalog was based on
3.11). Then copy your original minivend.cfg into the proper location in
the new install and see if you can start up the newly installed server, and
if it will load your existing catalog. Though in theory it should not be
necessary, you may also need to install a new demo catalog bearing the same
name and parameters as your actual catalog. If you get this working, you
can then copy your custom catalog over the standard demo (custom pages,
databases, etc). This has to be done carefully. I would suggest trying
the clean minivend install by itself first. Best of luck to you!
