Is there a way to hack the mailman program so that
any poster MUST put a subject identifyer of [mv3], 
[mv4] or [ic] into the subject line or else the post 
is rejected with an automated response telling the 
poster to make up his mind about it ?

Otherwise the mingling of questions to older versions 
of MV and the newer ones is a bit annoying, IMHO. 

People too often forget to mention which version they 
are using and it was hard enough to follow what's 
still working, what's not anymore working and all
the many ways it could work, if one just knew how....:-)

Otherwise I would be careful not to mingle the old
things with the new.
