Re: [mv] Need MiniVend help with NT4 and IIS4...

****** message to minivend-users from "Eran Binyamin Zeitoun" <eran_zeitoun@karmail.com> ******

Pssst.... Muray....
I have a little secret...., NT of crypt if you will install cygnos on the
NT....
and fork?, well... i would say you are right, but that will make me wrong...
but i am not... lets call it a broken toth fork..., but i am sure it will be
fixed
those days by active state....

I think that for a start users can work with minivend and NT..., some will
be
convinced by the time to pass to unix (as i did with some sites) and some
will be convinced to stay with micro$oft (as i did with my curent site)...
Its quite diffrent solutions for for diffrent sites...

On my current site, whenever a order is arriving, its splitted to the
suppliers
of the items, so they might be 4 diffrent suppliers on one order... each of
them gets
a fax with the item he should send, there is an automaticly printed copy in
the warehouse
saying what products should be arrive, an SMS message goes to the pickup
driver
which tells him to pick what from where and there are more partners in the
way....
I think that i could manage to do so in Linux..., But it would take me a
week if not more
(i am not a professional, just a novice) to handle such thing...
It took me less than an hour to do so in Windows 2000....

On the other side, i planned a site that cannot run on Windows platform due
to the lake
of some features....

The Platform is changed from a project to a project...

But as i guess in 2005... there will be Winux... the ultimate solution...
8-)

As for Dustin...., I can help you... contact my private e-mail...

Thanks,
Eran.
